Pak Tam Chung PHAB Site
Route Introduction
Located in Sai Kung East Country Park, this route consists of Pak Tam Chung Nature Trail and Sheung Yiu Country Trail. The entire journey takes about two hours to finish.
Pak Tak Chung PHAB Site is the starting point. The first section is Pak Tam Chung Nature Trail, which is a 1km long concrete road. There are flourishing mangroves on both sides of the road, while aquatic creatures, such as mudskippers and crabs can be found on the rocky beach.
The second section is Sheung Yiu Country Trail, which is a muddy path of roughly 4km long, with a slightly steep initial section. Along the trail, natural landscapes of the extended shore of Hei Tsz Wan, as well as islands of Wong Yi Chau, Yim Tin Tsai and Tsam Chuk Wan can be seen. Upon arriving at a valley in the midway, you will reach Po Kwu Wan and Yuen Ng Fan Campsite, where you can overlook the beautiful scenery of Kau Sai Chau and Tai Tau Chau. After crossing the valley, you will see Nam Fung Wan, where there is an artificial grassland, which is the historical site of the Man Yee Detention Center. Finally, you will arrive at the West Dam of the High Land Reservoir (Sai Kung Man Yee Road) , the end point of the journey at the Hong Kong Adventure Corps.

Transportation
Take Bus No. 94 from Sai Kung Pier to Pak Tam Chung stop, or take Minibus No. 7 or 9 and get off at Pak Tam Chung.

Remark
The route is suitable for moderate hikers and family hiking. Most of the route sections stretch across the open mountain landscape (below 150 meters). Do bring enough water and apply sunscreen in rainy and extreme hot weather.
