The 6th “CMHK Hong Kong Hiking Festival”
The 6th CMHK Hong Kong Hiking Festival, jointly organized by China Mobile Hong Kong Company Limited (CMHK) and the Hong Kong Hiking Association, China (HKHA), was successfully held on 14 January 2024. With the theme “We walk together toward a promising future!”, this year’s hiking festival invited citizens and tourists from Hong Kong to participate, aiming to let everyone experience firsthand the unique natural beauty of Hong Kong’s mountains and showcase the city’s distinctive charm and excitement to the world. The event received an enthusiastic response, with over 1,800 participants registered. The hiking event commenced right after the honourable guests, athlete representatives, “STARS Academy” artists, and representatives from supporting organizations fired the starters pistol. The participants set off from the Hong Kong Peak Galleria and followed Lugard Road to Pok Fu Lam Road, covering a total distance of 4.6 kilometers, to enjoy different views of the Hong Kong Island scenery along the way.

The 5th “CMHK Hong Kong Hiking Festival”
The 5th “CMHK Hong Kong Hiking Festival,” co-organized by China Mobile Hong Kong (CMHK) and Hong Kong Hiking Association, China (HKHA), has officially launched with a kick-off ceremony held at The Peak today (4 December 2022). In a year which marks the 5th anniversary of the CMHK Hong Kong Hiking Festival, this event is held under the theme of “10 hiking routes, Get 18 districts moving”. Accordingly, the organizer has selected 10 hiking routes, and has targeted to invite citizens from 18 districts to join this healthy activity free of designated places and time restrictions.
Meanwhile, more and more people chose to discover and revel in the beauty and uniqueness of the ring of mountains which surround Hong Kong. The 5th “CMHK Hong Kong Hiking Festival” attracted over 2,000 participants, the largest number of participants in the event’s history, and featured the widest coverage of hiking routes in the five years of the “CMHK Hong Kong Hiking Festival”. The organizer has aimed to inject positivity into all walks of life and all types of society members with this campaign, and has been delighted with the level of support and participation it received.
Furthermore, in response to the rise of the prevalence of metaverse and NFT (digitalization), the CMHK Hong Kong Hiking Festival introduced its own metaverse element to the event by launching a “CMHK Hiking” Special Edition NFT Medal. The organizer therefore is keen to attract members of the younger generation to get into the “Sports Metaverse” and discover the stunning nature of Hong Kong together through the hiking festival.

The 4th “CMHK Hong Kong Hiking Festival”
The 4th “CMHK Hong Kong Hiking Festival”, co-organized by China Mobile Hong Kong and Hong Kong Hiking Association, China, has officially launched. Riding on the success of previous years, the event returns this year under the themes of “Hiking Safety” & “Conservation” to further build momentum in promoting healthy living and educate the public to protect the natural habitat, conserve the environment and pay attention to hiking safety. At the same time, CMHK also launched “WeWalk for 100,000 Steps” campaign on MyLink App, inviting the public to “Walk for Health” and support conservation work by launching the MyLink credit scheme for the first time.

The 3rd “CMHK Hong Kong Hiking Festival”
The 3th CMHK Hong Kong Hiking Festival, co-organized by China Mobile Hong Kong and Hong Kong Hiking Association, China, was successfully held on 20 December 2020. Riding on the inaugural success of last two years, this year’s theme of the CMHK Hong Kong Hiking Festival (“the Festival”) is “5G by your side” as well as to encourage members of the public to hike regularly to experience health benefits and the rejuvenating joy it can bring to all. It also effectively cheers all to ‘Walk for Health”.

The 2nd “CMHK Hong Kong Hiking Festival”
The 2nd CMHK Hong Kong Hiking Festival, co-organized by China Mobile Hong Kong and Hong Kong Hiking Association, China, was successfully held on 7 December 2019. Riding on the inaugural success of last year, the event returned this year under the theme “Safety Hiking Fun” to further build momentum in promoting healthy living and the joy of hiking among Hong Kong people. The 2019 program was a celebration of the positive energy brought to all citizens through the enjoyment of sports.

The Second CMHK Hong Kong Hiking Festival Launch Ceremony
The Second CMHK Hong Kong Hiking Festival was officially kicked-off at The Hong Kong Girl Guides Association on 7th November. The launch ceremony was well attended by a number of Hiking Festival Committee Members and representatives from more than 20 supporting groups.
As a continuation of last year’s theme “We Walk for Health”, this year’s event will be themed We Walk for Health”. Meanwhile, a limited edition first day covers and badges featuring the design theme of “24 Country Parks’ Hiking Routes x 24 Solar Terms” were launched as the unique “Hong Kong Card” to promote the hiking routes of Hong Kong’s 24 country parks to the world.

National Day Celebrations Hiking Day – 3rd November
In celebrating the 70th Anniversary of China, one thousand representatives from 66 commercial and industrial enterprises in Hong Kong gathered together for the “National Day Dragon Walk” campaign to Walk for Health on the 3rd November.
WeWalk Hiking and Planting Day
Adhering to the belief of “We Walk for Health”, China Mobile Hong Kong and Hong Kong Hiking Association, China, will be co-organising the “WeWalk Hiking and Planting Day” (also known as the “Country Parks Hiking and Planting Day 2019” by the AFCD) for every Hong Kong citizen to participate in, and a long-term goal of promoting the health awareness of hiking, as well as deepening our appreciation and protection of the natural environment through tree planting.
We sincerely invite the people of Hong Kong to join the “We Walk Hiking and Planting Day” on 14th April together with friends and families to enjoy a day close to the nature! The “WeWalk for 10000 Steps” campaign will also be held on the day to encourage everyone in Hong Kong, wherever you are, to keep walking and stay healthy together.

“WeWalk for 10000 Steps” Campaign
In addition to launching the “WeWalk Hiking and Planting Day”, the organisers have especially organised the “WeWalk for 10000 Steps” campaign to encourage all Hong Kong people to walk together anywhere in the territory to promote good health and physical fitness!
To participate in the campaign, Hong Kong citizens only need to log in to MyLink App on 14th April and use the pedometer on WeWalk Page to record their walking steps until achieving 10,000 steps.
CNY WeWalk 2019
Introduction:
CNY WeWalk2019, co-organized by China Mobile Hong Kong and Hong Kong Hiking Association, China, supported by The Hong Kong Adventure Corps, aims to promote public awareness of healthy walking and hiking for a better lifestyle, promoting Hiking in Hong Kong, building Hong Kong as the most favorable place for hiking in the world.
CNY WeWalk 2019 encourages Hong Kong citizens to join the event with family and friends on 17 February, enjoying the “Big Bowl Feast” (“Poon choi”) together, sharing the happiest moment in the Lunar New Year Festival. The Organizers also encourage all Hong Kong citizens to participate in the “WeWalk for 10000 Steps” campaign on the day, ready for the year of pig with a healthy body.

Apart from organizing the “CNY WeWalk 2019”, the organizer also encourages the Hong Kong people to walk together in any corner of the territory to welcome the new year with a healthy body and to organize “WeWalk for 10000 Steps” Campaign.
Simply open and login to the MyLink App on 17 February and achieve 10,000 steps in WeWalk page for joining the Campaign.

CMHK Hong Kong Hiking Festival will host a hiking activity on 16th December. In addition, those Hong Kong citizens who are not able to attend the event on the day are encouraged to take part wherever they are. China Mobile Hong Kong also encourages the public to walk 10,000 steps to achieve the feat of “100 million steps”, as well as to cultivate the daily walking habit.
