Introduction to Routing
Start from Kat O Pier and proceed along the right side of Kat O Main Street to reach Tin Hau Temple at Pearl Plaza (明珠廣場). There is a “Marriage Tree” by the seaside and the newly built Kat O Story Room adjacent to the temple, where you can learn about the geology and cultural history of Kat O. After leaving Kat O Geoheritage Centre, continue along the trail to arrive at Ko Peng Teng (高棚頂). On the way you can enjoy the tranquil coastal scenery of O Pui Tong. Then take the concrete steps up to Ko Peng Teng lookout, which offers a panoramic view of Kat O and Yan Chau Tong Marine Park, as well as overlooking the Yantian Port in Shenzhen and Wutong Mountain, the highest in Shenzhen. Then proceed from Ko Peng Teng to Tung O Bay to appreciate the mirror water surface of Tung O Bay coast. Head south from Tung O Bay, then pass through Kat O Fishing Village to return to Kao O Pier to end the journey.
