The 4th CMHK Hong Kong Hiking Festival will be launched under the theme “Environmental Protection”, which aims not only to encourage the public to participate in hiking but also to promote the Love of Nature message – “Protect Countryside, Conservation Walk & Take Your Litter Home”.
“Eco Clean Up Day”
On May 30th, CMHK Hiking Festival held the “Eco Clean Up Day”. Members of the Organizing Committee of the CMHK Hiking Festival, Mrs. Regina Leung Tong Ching-yee, China Mobile Hong Kong management, and representatives from the Ten Outstanding Young Persons Selection as well as Hong Kong Girl Guides Association worked together to clean the trails in the Lion Rock Country Park section. The crowd set off from the Hong Kong Girl Guides Association Pok Hong Campsite and walked together in the countryside of Lion Rock. They worked together to clean up the rubbish all over the countryside and promote the message of loving nature. Over 40 bags of garbage were collected in this event, and all of them have been put into the collection station.
